Wander Wednesday

“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

As we look at where we can travel now-and don’t we want to get out there again?-I’m showing photos of places a little off the beaten path.  Feed your wanderlust by dreaming about and planning your future adventures. Stay safe and healthy and let me know if you have questions or want help with your next trip.

tree at ta prohm temple

This tree is growing at the Ta Prohm Temple near Siem Reap, Cambodia. Dating from the late 1100s, this Buddhist temple was essentially abandoned to nature in the 1500s. It has been restored only minimally, to preserve the atmosphere of the buildings being reclaimed by nature. It’s well known for being one of the filming locations for the Lara Croft:Tomb Raider (2001) movie. I captured this tree using the Pano photo feature on my iPhone, holding the camera horizontally and taking the picture while moving the camera from the bottom to top of the tree.
