Wander Wednesday

“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

The world of travel changed for all of us in March. While I am hoping, along with all of you, I’m sure, that we can travel safely again soon, we can still feed our wanderlust with ideas for future adventures. I will keep posting my photos to give you ideas of where to go when you can. I, too, am always planning my next trip! Stay safe and healthy and let me know if you have questions or want help with future travel. It’s never too soon to start planning!

Conference attendees

Normally this week I would be somewhere in this crowd, meeting with travel suppliers from all over the world. This is Virtuoso Travel Week, where thousands of travel advisors and suppliers who are members of the Virtuoso Travel Network, gather for five days of appointments and seminars. But this week I will be attending appointments and seminars from the comfort of my home office, as the Virtuoso Travel Week has gone virtual.

I will miss waking up to the panoramic view of the Las Vegas desert from my lofty room in the Vdara Hotel, and I will certainly miss the wonderful dinners and cocktail parties, and being in the company of people who love to talk travel just as much as I do. I won’t miss the early mornings (and late nights)  and walking miles and miles every day to get to the next event. This week I just have to be online at the right time and be ready to take in as much as I can.

Kudos for Virtuoso to figure out a way to bring several thousand people together to talk travel. I’m looking forward to hearing about new properties, tours and travel experiences while we all wait anxiously for travel to start up again.

Keep watching this space for updates!
