2021 didn’t exactly turn out to be the return to travel we all thought it would be. Travel has been complicated and the experience has been different. As more people get vaccinated and we learn how to adapt to the virus, travel will get easier. Please continue to follow all the protocols to be healthy and safe.

This month I’m sharing some of my favorite travel photos from 2021. I didn’t get to travel as much as I would have liked, but I was able to make a few trips, for which I am grateful!

Wander Wednesday

“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

pumpkin sculptures

Sometimes it’s fun to play tourist in your hometown. These fanciful pumpkins are part of an infinity mirror-room installation by artist Yayoi Kusama, which was on display at our McNay Art Museum this summer. Step into the small room and revel in the shapes that stretch in all directions. Your time in the room is short (usually only 45 seconds) but it is an intensely wonderful experience. Take advantage of the places visitors would go if they could!

Where would you like to be wandering?
