BLACK LIVES MATTER

The police brutality and murders that have led to necessary protests across the country have riveted my attention. It is impossible to ignore the systemic racism that exists throughout our communities.

I come from a background of white privilege and a generation that was told that being “colorblind” was enough. Now it is not enough. Equal treatment under the law requires systemic change, not just the perpetration of superficial concepts of equality that have deprived people of color true equity and justice. I have a lot of catching up to do educationally, and I am working on that.

I want to thank my colleagues in the travel industry who are committed to change and making lives better.

Please join me in committing to a process of learning, listening, and donating to local and national organizations that help people in need and shine a light on injustice.

Here are a few of the organizations I have donated to: no personal compensation received from clicking.
