Welcome Fall! Soon it will cool off and school will start up and the leaves will turn colors (in the Northern Hemisphere, at least). September is a good time to travel-often called “shoulder season.” Prices may be lower and crowds may be fewer. Stay safe and have fun out there!
This month’s photos are of maps. We love maps!
Wander Wednesday
“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien
A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to go to a travel advisor conference in Australia. I was hosted by Tourism Australia and local travel suppliers. Our small touring group (The Bilbys) flew from Los Angeles to Sydney, then to Darwin and kept heading west, touring the northern part of the Kimberley Region for several nights. We then flew to Perth and on to Brisbane for the conference. I kept a travel journal, and made this rough map of Australia, just to show how much of the country we covered in a week.
Hand drawn maps can be a great reminder of your trip! They don’t have to be fancy or even very detailed to make a wonderful keepsake!
