Welcome Fall! Soon it will cool off and school will start up and the leaves will turn colors (in the Northern Hemisphere, at least). September is a good time to travel-often called “shoulder season.” Prices may be lower and crowds may be fewer. Stay safe and have fun out there!
This month’s photos are of maps. We love maps!
Wander Wednesday
“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien
This is a screenshot of the weather a few weeks ago at the Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport. I am the blue dot, sitting in a plane on the tarmac. The airport has closed, due to lightning in the area and our plane is not going anywhere soon! This is not a map you want to be looking at while you are at the airport trying to get out of town. I do appreciate the sophistication of the weather maps and their weather tracking technology. Have you ever experienced a weather delay? (Note: the weather did let up enough for the airport to open and for our plane to take off just before the crew would have timed out for their work day. Phew!)
Where would you like to be wandering?
