This month we have photos from the Faroe Islands and Norway! Truly a beautiful part of the world, and I highly recommend. The theme is mountain views.

Mountains over the valley-Troll Wall Norway

This is part of the famous Trollveggen, or Troll Wall, outside of Andalsnes, Norway. This series of peaks resembles El Capitan in Yosemite,  where specialized climbing skills are needed to scale the massive granite rocks. These mountains get their name from Norwegian folk tales that describe trolls being turned to stone when looking at the sunlight. These cliffs were also popular for base jumping, until it was outlawed after serious accidents. Heading south of Andalsnes, you can drive the valley with giant stone trolls watching you!
