New Zealand has a sheep-to-person ratio of 5-to-1, so you’re very likely to see sheep in your travels around the country. It’s easy to have a farm experience and watch the sheep being sheared. Don’t worry, it’s very quick and the sheep don’t mind a bit. This also means that there are fantastic wool products to be had, so enjoy the shopping!
