We visited South Korea during the Buddha’s birthday celebrations. Buddhist temples were festooned with colorful lanterns wherever we went. This photo comes from the Jogyesa Temple in Seoul, the headquarters of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. We couldn’t get inside the temple because of the holiday, but you can visit at other times of the year.
