This is one of my all-time favorite paintings. “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of the Grande Jatte” by Georges Seurat. It hangs in the Art Institute of Chicago. Notice the monkey on a leash? Because of the monkey in this painting my family got a squirrel monkey for a pet, whom we had for a short but exciting time.
