Photos this month are from Italy! Italy is one of the favorite places for Americans to travel, and I’ve loved all my trips there.

Wander Wednesday

“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

open air theater in Tuscany Italy

After visiting the Cinque Terre, my sister-in-law and I spend a few days in Pisa. One day we hired a driver/guide and went out into the Tuscan hills. We walked around the hilltop town of Volterra (any Twilight fans out there?) and then drove back through the gorgeous rolling hills of Tuscany. This is the Teatro di Silenzio, an open-air theater that is “silent” year-round except for the annual summer concert by Andrea Bocelli. Each year a new statue graces the center stage. We enjoyed some time to appreciate the stillness of the countryside.
