Traveling in “shoulder season” can be more relaxing and a better value. The summer crowds are gone. The weather can be delightful. Please continue to stay safe and follow health guidelines wherever you go. This month I am highlighting photos from my last trip to Paris.

Seine River floating restaurant boat

When in Paris, one must do a Seine River Cruise. There are many options, but on our last trip we we chose to combine lunch with our cruise on  Ducasse-Sur-Seine, a floating restaurant with food by the renowned chef Alain Ducasse. We sailed on a beautiful October day and had a marvelous meal. We took our coffee on the upper deck and watched Paris unfold as we sailed past. Lunch at upscale restaurants is often a time to have excellent food at a more affordable price. This restaurant was recently featured as the site of a competition on Top Chef World All-Stars.
